Splish Splash - I was takin' a bath....

Well, Hot Dog! I think it's about time for another blog! I just looked out the window and all I saw was fog. Good thing I'd rather have a bottle than some egg nog cause I heard that it might turn you into a frog on a log. Ok, as tempting as a full blog of rhymes is, I'll try to lay off that for now.

Happy 6 month Birthday to Me!

Well, I didn't feel much better this week which was kinda lame, but on the bright side I got to spend more time with mommy. My ear infections haven't really gotten much better yet, but we're getting by. I did have my 6 month Birthday this week - mommy had a hat for me and everything! I got a new jumperoo toy (a few days early), some other toys I haven't played with yet, and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse dvd. Meeska, Mooska, MICKEY MOUSE!

Mom - I could use some orajel on these teeth

Not feeling good with Mommy

Not much else is real huge in my life right now. I haven't really gotten out much, so I'm a little behind on the happenings of the world, but I must say there are some fantastic playoff series' going on at the moment. We have a Red Wings - Penguins Stanley Cup Finals, and even though daddy loves Detroit, I have always been fascinated by Penguins, so I gotta go with Sid the Kid and that group. I've also enjoyed watching the NBA Conference Finals immensely. I want to be the next Kobe Bryant, and I've been practicing on my new hoop, but daddy says my intensity matches that of Kevin Garnett - apparently I yell a lot when I play.

I'm gonna hate this picture in 15 years

Is it time yet Mommy?

Mmmm - Bathtime

Mmmm - Fingers

Wonder if I can fit BOTH hands

How come it rains in the bathtub?

I'm gonna catch it!

Today was Aunt Maegie's birthday, and I didn't get to see her, but I will soon. Happy Birthday Maeg! You're the coolest 14 year old I know, and now that you have a Wii, we can have Guitar Hero battles! This week also saw the finales of many of my favorite shows all of which were great, except I must say that I'm a bit shocked by American Idol. The episode they put on was amazing, but I just can't believe that David Cook beat my boy David Archuletta by 12 MILLION votes! Don't get me wrong - I love David Cook and would probably buy an album of his first, but Archuletta was "on fire" during the last few weeks. He's my dawg!

Is this how you play basketball?

My best Kevin Garnett impression

Uh oh - time to sleep

Well, as you can see, I'm getting pretty tired so it's about time to call this done. Hope everyone has a great memorial day weekend!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times

It's been another week since I've tickled the keyboard with my literary delights, so sit down, buckle up, and prepare for tales from my most recent week! I have to admit, I actually use daddy's keyboarding talents for this thing - it's just easier that way. Don't be fooled though, I'm the brains behind this operation.

Telling Daddy what to write

Drool-bot

So this last week wasn't really all that fantastic. I started getting sick on Sunday night, and by Monday morning, mommy was so worried about me that she stayed home from work and took me to see the doctor. The doctor said that I had a bit of a temperature and some congestion, and sent me home with an inhaler and a funny mask.

By Tuesday, I felt much worse, so mommy and daddy took me back to the doctor. This time, I had an ear infection, had to have a chest x-ray (this is a whole 'nother story that I don't want to relive at the moment), had a temperature of 103.3, and had slight signs of baby pneumonia. I had to have some breathing treatments on a nebulizer, and two shots of antibiotics in my leg before I could conclude the 2 hour visit and go home. Let's just say it was NOT my happiest day ever, although I'm glad I had mommy to cuddle with me.

Not sure why I would share this picture - I blame the Tylenol

Needless to say, I didn't feel too hot the rest of the week, so mommy stayed home with me to take care of me. Just another thing that mommy does perfectly and I love her for it. I did get to go back to the doctor for a follow-up on Wednesday (yes, that's 3 days in a row for those of you that are counting), and I get to go back again this week. My cousins Eden and Emma were both sick with Ear Infections too, but they're troopers and seem to be doing better now.

I bet you don't have pants this cool!

I'll eat ANYTHING

Am I gonna cry?

Just playin

After a good week of rest, I started feeling a bit better by Friday, and a whole lot better on Saturday. Sometimes I think that you just need some good rest to fight off the ills.

Just like daddy

On Friday evening, mommy and daddy packed me in the car for our faux-camping weekend. Papa and Mimi bought a new RV last week, and wanted to test it out, so they rented a campsite on Lake Whatcom. The campground just happened to be about 3.4 miles from their house, so mommy and daddy decided that because I've been sick, we would just go visit but sleep at home.

I'm ready to go

Where's the smores??!

Laptops - all the cool kids have them

Our faux-camping trip turned out to be a lot of fun. On Friday night, I mostly got to play with my cousins at the kiddie table (read: playpen) while the adults had dinner at the big kid table. We didn't stay too late, which was good for me cause I was pretty exhausted.

Mommy - can we please go home?

Well hello

Goodnight story from Mimi before we left

On Saturday morning, mommy had a hair appointment, so me and daddy ran some errands for a couple hours. Generally, running errands with daddy translates into going to Costco, so...... we went to Costco. I got to sit in the big boy cart for the first time, and I had SO much fun!

More Cuz' time

Jump, Jump, Jump around!

Me and Mommy in the RV

Camping on Saturday was more of the same fun. I got to spend lots of time playing with my cousins, and also got to cuddle with Mimi, Papa, Auntie Jess, Uncle Josh, and of course Mommy and Daddy. It got pretty windy, so that made the heat a bit easier to deal with, and it actually got a little chilly when the sun went down.

Eating with Mommy by the lake

Yummy!

Goodnight Moon.

Me and Paul were tired.

Sunday morning was....well....unusual. Around 5:30, I kinda psuedo-woke up, and even though I wasn't really awake, I was trying to wake mommy and daddy up. Right about that same time, we heard a very loud screeching noise, and mommy and daddy jumped out of bed VERY quickly, thinking that maybe a car got into an accident. When daddy looked out the window, he saw a man laying face down on the other side of the street, and he wasn't moving. Mommy ran outside to help while daddy called the police, and then got me bundled to head outside as well. By the time we got outside, the policemen were already arriving. There ended up being 6 police cars, an ambulance, and a firetruck, all at 5:45 in the morning - I really think the lights were neat-o.

After putting the information together, mommy and daddy were able to help the police realize that a girl driving a car threw a man out of said car while driving fast, and then she drove away. She came back a few minutes later, and the police made her get out of the car because she seemed to not be ok. The man was also in pretty rough shape. It was definitely one of the more unusual things I've ever seen.

Reading a magazine

My new Toy!

This afternoon, Grammy and Dennis brought Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Jerry up to see me. We played for awhile, went to the park, and even got to have dinner, Hibachi Style! I'm not sure about all the knife throwing, and I obviously can't have the food yet, but you have to see the Onion-Volcano trick! Maybe it's not exciting to those of you that have ever seen a flame before, but I found it MESMORIZING!

I'm the sheet monster!

Helping mommy do the laundry

Anywhoo - time to wrap this abundance of bloggyness up and get to bed. Until next time.....
