How do Polar Bears know their noses aren't white?

I'll be right with you - just getting a toy..
.
.
Just got home from a weekend trip to the Southbound Grandparent's, or the 4-2-5 as I call it, and while my bed is literally yelling my name, I wanted to throw up a few pictures real quick.

First off, Saturday was mommy and daddy's wedding anniversary, so while we didn't quite get to spend it in Hawaii like we had always hoped, we made due. Daddy and I woke up early (ok, so really not THAT early), and headed out to get mommy some coffee and pastries, flowers, and some other odd's and ends, which was a beautiful set-up for what turned out to be a wonderful day, which was only aided by my Huskies' triumphant return to College Football's Top 25 with a hard fought victory over #USC.

Wearing Daddy's slippers - go dawgs!
.
.
After the game, we loaded up the car and headed to Grammy's house, so that we could spend some time with her, and so that mommy and daddy could go out for a bit to celebrate without asking for a table with a highchair and a place for a carseat. I can't speak for Callie just yet, but I personally have tons of fun at Grammy's. First of all, she has two bear-like kitty cats that are confined within the same walls as myself, so kitty-hunting is always fun! Plus, if I manage to break free, there's tons of room for me to run as fast as I can and say things like "I go fa-ast"!
.
.

This pretty much sums me up at Grammy's - or anywhere.
.
.
I think Callie wonders why we are so weird..
.
.
After getting to spend the night at Grammy's, and wake up and chase the kitty's some more, we packed up the 'Hoe (again, that's short for Tahoe, not Ivanhoe) and set course for Grandpa (aampa) and Grandma's house. While I'm always excited to go to their house, this trip was extra fun, because a bunch of daddy's family that I haven't met came over for the afternoon. Granted, the event was mostly a bunch of older folk reminiscing about things that don't make a lot of sense to me yet, but I could tell that everyone there was very happy to see each other, so I think it was probably pretty cool!
Included in the picture below in no particular order is daddy's Aunt Barbara, Aunt Patty, and Uncle Gary, cousins Melissa, Matt, Stafford, Kathy, and Amy, Kathy's husband Gary, Matt's fiance Megan, my Aunt Shanlee (she-she), Uncle Will, Auntie Autumn (Tum-Tum), Auntie Maeggie, Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy, and...oh yeah, I guess baby Callie too! Whew - that was a mouth full!
.
.
What a handsome group!
.
.

Cousins - of daddy - not me - soo...daddy's cousins.

Well, that's kind of all she wrote for the weekend. For those that were a part of it - I loved seeing you, even if I may have been grumpy or aloof (can a child my age be aloof?). For those of you that I didn't get to see, I miss you, and hope to see you as soon as possible. Heck - lets do lunch tomorrow. Breakfast? Come over now!....too needy? Well, soon then.

The New Phonebook is Here!

Well, it's Sunday night, and even though Sunday's are much better between September 1st and January 31st, I still don't like the end of the day very much, because that means tomorrow is Monday and daddy goes back to work! That said, they have gotten significantly better since I get to stay home with mommy now, because we get to do all kinds of fun stuff. We walk up lazily instead of a to an alarm (at least that's what we did PRE-Callie), we have creative breakfasts, we play and color and draw pictures, we watch the garbage truck on Wednesdays...we have all kinds of fun!

Speaking of fun - this weekend was great! On Friday, Grammy came up and went shopping and to lunch with me, mommy, and Callie, and even though I was crankasaurus tired, I still had fun.
.
Then on Saturday, me and daddy got all ready to watch the Husky game together, and we all drove up to Mimi and Papa's house to see the usual crew, as well as Uncle Dale (day-el), Auntie Amy (ah-me), and cousins Jordan (George) and Stephen (Stee-Stee). We don't get to see them often enough, especially mommy's cousin Jordan, so we made sure to get there as quick as we could! I personally had tons of fun playing with Emma and Eden and everyone else all day, but I kind of think baby sister is kind of boring. She naps ALL the time - how am I supposed to play with her?!

After a pretty eventful day of playing, I was exhausted, so I made mommy and daddy take me home to my big boy bed so that I could get a good night of sleep, and head right back up there to visit some more and see how my fantasy football team starts the year. You might think I'm a little young for a Fantasy team, and if you happen to be a member of the authorities thinking this, don't worry, it's actually just one of my dad's many teams that I have commandeered. It's my right and privilege as his son, right?
.
Either way, the games went well this weekend with the Huskies getting their first win (of many more this season) since November 2007, the Seahawks finishing strong after looking shaky early, and a couple fantasy teams that outscored the rest of the league. Yes, it's early, but optimism is key, right? That's why I love sports!

I'm not too big - I swear!

Baby Cal-Cal all snuggled up after a long weekend!
.

Well, now the weekend is over, it's time for me and Callie to go to bed, and move on to another exciting week. I'm not sure of any exciting plans this week, but I know the next couple weekends hold some fun including a family picnic with some of daddy's family that he hasn't seen in WAY TOO LONG this weekend, mommy and daddy's wedding anniversary, and a visit from my long lost twin cousin Scarlett! Emma, Eden and I are gonna have so much fun catching her up on our shenanigans!
.
.

I'm 90% sure I could make it thru this door...
.
.

Make that 95%!
.
.
Until later, I'll leave you with another fun video. This is from last weekend when Auntie Angie and Brooklyn came to visit us and played LOTS of games with Emma, Eden, and myself! Enjoy!

My Buddy and Me

Well, the verdict is in, and life with a sibling is officially DIFFERENT! I definitely like it most of the time, although from time to time, she does get just a little more attention than I'm ok with, but for now, I'm just finding my own ways of getting that attention back!

The last few days have actually been pretty low-key. When Callie first came home from the hospital, we had people at my house ALL THE TIME, but since Sunday-ish, it's basically just been the four of us, with a few random stragglers in. Part of me is enjoying the quiet time, but another part of me really misses all the fun that was going on here 24/7!

Today, Mimi picked me up and took me to play with my cousins and Auntie Jess. I've gotten more and more accustomed to being around them, so it was a nice chance to get out of the house. When I got home, I took Callie to my favorite park by my house. It was a bit of a walk/bike ride/stroller ride, but the sun was out and I figured everyone would like it. Well, I had fun, but that silly little baby just slept the whole way there, and the whole way back! Seriously, I love the kid, but it's really hard to work with her little baby schedule!

Overall, stuff is going well around here. I keep getting told that I'm a big boy, and that I'm learning all kinds of new things, but is it really THAT funny that I say things like "Oh yeah, I (for)got.."? I guess I'll leave that to the silly big people that seem to think they are in charge.

Callie and I have been talking, and she's gonna let me keep working the blog for awhile on my own, but we will eventually change it up and rename it, so be on the lookout for changes! Until then, we miss you and love you!

I'll leave you with a video of the first time I got to hold Callie. This was just minutes after mommy and daddy brought Callie home. Enjoy!

The Stork Brought a Cutie

Blooo-ooog .... we're hooo-oome!

Welp, mommy and daddy brought baby Callie home from the hospital yesterday, and I can certainly say that life will never be the same as it was before, but that's a good thing. It's hard to 100% gauge what life will look like going forward because of all the extra people around helping and visiting, and because mommy is extra tired, but I can already tell that this little girl is going to be very fun!

As much as has been going on, I really don't have a lot of stories to share. I've got to spend lots of time with my grandparents and family these last few days, and I think it's gonna continue for a bit, so I love it. That said, anyone that wants to come visit us is welcome anytime - I can't say that Callie will be very entertaining cause she doesn't do a whole lot, but I promise to at least do a dance or something. I've become quite proficient at the running man!

Still not entirely sure how this blog thing will work going forward, but I'll let you know asap. Callie is too little to write yet anyways, so we have some time, but we might have to just rename the blog to encompass both of our interest's - we'll see!
Have a good night!

One Day Old

Not much to report that can top the excitement of yesterday so just a couple pictures. I have been trying my best to take pictures, but Cal-Cal just won't say "cheese" yet - such a newborn thing to do!

The other great thing from this is all the family I get to see and I hope to see more in the coming days!

From Cal-Cal and myself, we love you all!

Baby Sister Callie!

For those that haven't heard, my baby sister was born today at 4:50. Callie Ann White was 9 lbs 1 oz and 21.5 inches and is already the best little sister in the world! She wanted to write but we decided it was too soon so maybe later.

Mommy is doing good and we hope to be home tomorrow. Don't be shy - callie loves people!

Here We Go!

Well, today is the day I become a big brother! As we speak, I am spending the morning with Auntie Jess and mommy and daddy are just getting started at the Childbirth Center.

Not a lot of news just yet, but I will pass it along as much as I can!

Also, I know that callie wants to do some blogging too so we will have to figure that out.

More later!
