Bananas and Milk

Hello readers!

Tonight I'm working on a bit of a tight schedule since I apparently need a good night's sleep because I'm a "growing boy" or something like that, so I'll share some brief commentary on my week, upload some pictures that are both nice and embarassing, and then I'll get myself to bed.

Bathtime!

Is this really me??

The last week has been pretty ordinary in that I see as much family as possible on the weekends, go to school during the week, and play with mommy and daddy each night!

Where is that silly toy?

Found it!

Last weekend was especially fun cause I got to see all of my grandparents in ONE day! First, we spent some time at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Snohomish, and I got to play with my golf cart, refine my piano skills, and even get a hair cut! Then we went further to meet Grammy at Alderwood where we went shopping (and she bought me baby sized cookies..YUM!). After that, we all went to PF Changs for dinner and met up with Mimi and Papa, as well as my aunties, uncles, and cousins! And from there, we got to go to Mimi and Papa's house where I got to play with my cousins! It was a perfect weekend!

I just have NOTHING to wear!

Since I have some pictures chronicling my afternoon today, and because I don't usually get to see many of you during the week, I figure I'll outline what my average day looks like.

After a good night's sleep, I usually wake up with Mommy, and we take our time getting ready for school/work, playing, and having breakfast. It's definitely one of my very favorite parts of the day. I go to school around 8:30 or 9:00, and while I miss mommy and daddy, I LOVE seeing my teachers and friends. We play with toys, sing songs, play games, read stories, do art projects and SO much more. Mommy also makes an appearance every single day around lunch time which I REALLY like.

So sleepy!

Daddy almost always picks me up from school around 4:30 in the afternoon, and from that point til when mommy comes home, well, pretty much anything can happen. Today, we played in the kitchen for a bit, where I decided I wanted a 'nana and some milk, so daddy made some for me and then we layed down. I got to watch Backyardigans (my backyard friends), while daddy played video games for the first time in months. It really is something new everyday, but the one thing that never changes is my excitement when mommy gets home. I love her!

Miiiiiillk!

NA-NA!! NA-NA!!!

Im a monkey!

mmmmmm - milk!

Dual purpose

Mommy! Are you in the garage?!

Anyways, it's about time for bed, so I gotta get out of here. Have a good night everyone!

Gotta go upstairs and get in bed

Nigh-night!

O-Ba-Ma

So, as many of you know, my vocabulary has really started taking off lately, and now that I've really got a good handle on the sounds farm animals make, I've decided it's time to begin my foray into the political arena. Considering everything that's happening right now, I can't think of a better time. My schedule for the week is as follows:

Today: Learn how to say "Obama"

Monday: Figure out how a bill becomes a law

Tuesday: Watch history as Barack H. Obama (I call him Barry) is sworn in

Wednesday: Pick out a power suit / meet with advisers

Thursday: Announce my campaign for the Presidency in 2049

Friday: Casual Friday - hang out with dad

In all seriousness, I spent much of my weekend with mommy and daddy watching Inauguration related events, and I'm really thrown back by the grandeur of it all. Yesterday, the Obama's left Philly in the morning on a choo-choo, picked up the Biden's in Delaware, and headed for their new home's in D.C. Today, HBO hosted a celebration at the Lincoln Memorial that saw the likes of Tom Hanks, Uncle Tiger (Woods), Denzel Washington, U2, Stevie Wonder, Usher, Sheryl Crow, Garth Brooks, Mary J. Blige, and MANY others wish Mr. Obama well - truly an amazing sight.

I need daylight!

Of course, I didn't spend my full week at home watching TV. Mommy stayed home with me on Monday, and we got to make breakfast together, play toys, and even go visit daddy at work for his birthday. I got to see Mimi and Papa one night for dinner, daddy took me to Pro Golf TWICE this week, and he stayed home on Friday. We drove down to Everett to see grandpa for a few hours, and then rushed home to clean up our mess before mommy got home from work!

Sometimes I wear hats

Is this "hat head"?
So, apparently I've become pretty independent over the last few weeks, or that's what mommy and daddy keep saying anyways. Idk - sometimes I just like some time to play by myself, and sometimes I just want to throw everything from a drawer on the floor without someone telling me no-no.

My sweet Cohen Tent - Tunnel included

I'm gonna hide

On Saturday, our big outting consisted of a trip to Costco, and a wagon ride around the neighborhood. We really wanted to see Mimi and Papa, and my cousins who I haven't seen for a bit, but Emma and Eden and their mommy and daddy were really sick so we decided to stay home and try to stay healthy. I hope they feel better soon! Instead, we ventured to the almighty Costco, which frankly is just a tease. I found all kinds of cool stuff that I wanted, but mommy and daddy kept saying no, cause it was more than the (very generous) giftcard I got for Christmas from Grandma Great in Arizona. I did my darndest to keep running back to the Escalade no matter where we went in the store, but I kept getting picked off! Dang!

Let's put some 24"s on this thing. These 5"s just won't do!

Wagon Wagon Wagon
Hmm - I think this would fit in my room - right mom?
Well, it's getting late, and I've got a bit of a tummy ache, so I'm gonna snag a bath and get to bed. In all seriousness, I encourage everyone to reflect on the inauguration events of this week - I will definitely be staying home Tuesday morning to witness it so that someday I can look back and say "I was watching when....". Have a good week!

Cohen Chandler White: Son, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, Friend, and ................ BIG BROTHER!

That's right - I'm gonna be a Big Brother! Mommy and Daddy just found out last week, and they told me before anyone else in the whole wide world that I'm gonna have either a little sister or a little brother. Honestly, I don't care which, I'm just so excited to do things like teach him/her to crawl on the stairs, and

teach him/her to play with trucks, and

read stories to him/her, and

teach him/her how to walk, and

show him/her how to get into things, and

show him/her how to stand on toys, and

of course, show him/her how to go on kitty hunts!

At this point, we don't know many specifics, other than the fact that it's a cute little baby growing in mommy's tummy that will be here around September 1st. There's still a lot of details to work out, things like where this kiddo will sleep (not in my crib) and what it will eat (not my food), and of course we'll have some details to iron out about blogging priviledges, but we'll figure these out as we go. I'll post more once I have more information!

Merry Christmakah and a Happy New Year!

Happy 2009 everyone!

I haven't written since before the holidays, so I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas/Hannukah/Kwaanza, etc. Between the holidays and their associated family gatherings, the crazy amounts of bow (you probably know it as "snow"), and everything else in my crazy exciting life, the last few weeks have been pretty busy.

Woooo
It's like splash mountain....with snow

The roads have been pretty scary

Mommy and Daddy are lucky for my car

This year was my 2nd Christmakah, and it definitely didn't fail to please. For those that are wondering, Christmakah is my own magical melding of Christmas and Hannukah. Basically, since I celebrate Christmas many separate times, and because Santa visits me no less than 4 times, I've decided to meld with Hannukah for the Cohenriffic holiday of Christmakah.

Christmakah Morning #1 - SNOW!

My stocking is the one in the middle

Opening Presents with mommy

During all of the recent bow (snow), mommy and daddy had lots of time off of work so we got to spend lots of extra time together during the holidays. I really enjoy the snow, but I don't quite understand why everyone wants to go outside to play in it. I don't know if you've noticed, but it's COOOLLD! No thank you! Just give me a bottle of cocoa and let me look out the window, please!

Getting a big boy haircut from Grandma while eating Ice Cream

Christmakah Morning #2 - SNOW!!

On the morning of the 23rd, me and mommy and daddy celebrated christmakah at home, and prepared to drive south thru the snow. On day 1, Santa Claus brought me all kinds of stuff, most notably an iDog and an iPod - I love my little doggy. After opening all of our presents and having a good breakfast, we packed up and headed down for Christmakah #2 with Grandpa and Grandma et all in Snohomish. As soon as we got there, it started snowing even more which made for a perfect christmas, even though lots of cars were getting stuck on the hill! Christmakah #2 was no slouch, and Santa even brought me my own Golf Cart!!

Vroooom!

How fast does this thing go?

Yay!

After spending lots of time at Grandma and Grandpa's, we packed up daddy's rig and headed up to celebrate Christmakah #3 with Mimi and Papa. It snowed most of the drive on that Christmas Eve night, and I must've dreamt of Santa the whole way, cause when we pulled into Mimi and Papa's driveway, I woke up/sat up abruptly and said "Santa!?" When we got there, my cousins were just getting ready for bed, so I joined them. We all pushed the bedtime thing quite a bit, but apparently Santa doesn't show up if you're not asleep, so off we went.

Why is there a bow on my head?

A Piano with toy balls - perfect!

Closest thing to a christmas picture with the cousins

Christmakah at Mimi and Papa's was lots of fun. Santa brought me lots of stuff, including a cool piano with balls that has become one of my favorite toys, and it was fun cause I got to spend the morning with Emma and Eden. They got dolly's, which I thought was kinda silly, but they REALLY liked them! Girls are silly.

I wanted a pony!

Trying to get some snacks

Present time again?
After having breakfast with Mimi and Papa and playing for a bit, we got back in the car, and headed south for Christmakah's #4 and 5. We went to Aunt Pam's house in the afternoon to celebrate with Great Papa and everybody, and it was lot's of fun. I've seen a few christmakah trees in my day, and there'es was definitely the coolest - it had a train going around it!

Playing with Chelsie

Daddy tried to put me in a box and give me to mommy

Can I go play in the snow?
After eating and playing some more at Aunt Pam's, we got in the car again and headed to Grammy's for the night. Santa had come there too, and I got more cool stuff, including a really cool wagon that I can't wait to play in. We opened presents, and played, and then got to spend the night there.

Yayy!
Does Santa come AGAIN tomorrow Mommy?!
Overall, the whole holiday season was great. I got to spend lots of time with all of my family, and other than a few minor sicknesses, and UPS hugely delaying some of the gifts that I have yet to distribute, nothing could have been better!
Now it's 2009 - can you beleive it? It seems like just a few days ago it was 2007. Crazy! I wish everyone good luck with their New Year's Resolutions - mine is to update this stinky blog a bit more often - so watch for that. I'm also going to start working some odd jobs to save for college, so if you have any lawns that need mowing or windows that need cleaning - gimme a call. Other than that - I miss you all!
