So, I don't know if I told you or not, but......I GOT TO GO TO DISNEYLAND!!!
Disneylaaaaaaaaaaaaand!(warning - this blog MAY crash your computer)
Actually, mommy and daddy (and Mimi and Papa, Auntie Jess and Uncle Josh along with my cousins) took me on a nice little tour of the great state of California. We spent a couple days at Disneyland, and then went to see Gabby and family in Fresno. In an effort to avoid getting kicked off of this blog, we'll only touch on Disneyland tonight, and save Fresno for tomorrow!
How do I look?
I'm tired of waiting - luckily Grammy let me borrow a toy.
Getting my safety on.
Dad - you really need to listen to this. I had planned this trip out months ago, and was super excited when the time finally came around for me to pack mommy and daddy in the car, and get moving. As per any trip when we head south, we tend to pack our stuff in the car before mommy and daddy go to work. I actually got to spend the day with Auntie Jessica and my cousins while mommy and daddy dredged thru one last day of work before a long weekend. I tried to sleep in, but I was so super excited that at one point I even sat straight up when I heard Mickey Mouse Clubhouse come on!
Neener neener- no seatbelt for me!
I was just pretending what would happen if a window fell out.
And now, we sleep! As soon as mommy and daddy finished work, we drove down to Grammy's house to spend the night with her. She lives in Seattle and works near the airport, so I got to play with her all night, and then she gave us a ride to the airport in the morning. We even got to watch Jeopardy! I love staying with Grammy! I thought I wasn't going to be able to sleep, but, well, I slept for a lot of hours.
A Balloon? I thought I was gonna see MICKEY MOUSE!!!!
Emma and Eden want to live in that castle someday. Can you spot Mimi?
This place is so cool!I have to tell you, this isn't the first time I've boarded an airplane with my cousins, and I personally love to see people look and have "uh oh" written all over their face. In reality, we are better fliers than our mommy and daddy's, but it's nice to know that I have that much power that I can make or break someone else's experience.
After some playing and a nice nap on the aeroplane, we got to the Orange County airport around 12:30. This felt like somewhat of a mecca to me, since mommy and daddy apparently named me after some clown named "Seth Cohen" on the trendy TV show, "The O.C.". More importantly, I got to meet my cool Great Auntie Laura for the first time as soon as we got off the plane. She was so excited that she almost cried for at least 15 minutes. I really like her.
New Orleans Square...I mean, New ahhlins Square.
Having a snack with PapaMommy and Daddy got me into the car with Auntie Laura, and off to the hotel we went. After some brief settling, we decided to have a quick dinner to celebrate Papa's birthday, and then it was of to MICKEYLAND! I definitely had fun right away, although it was a lot warmer outside then I am used to. Some of the adults went on the Matterhorn and Big Thunder Mountain right away, which was fine with me because I was just soaking in the ambience.
I can't lie - the sun quickly turned me into mush, but we went on the Pirates of the Carribbean ride before too long, and the cool atmosphere made me feel MUCH better!
Watching "Fantasmic" with Mommy
Mom - did you see that?!
That was exhausting!I think my favorite part of the first night was catching the end of "Fantasmic" on the lagoon. We didn't see the whole show, but got there just in time for the big ending, and I got to hear all of the happy music, and see the characters and pretty lights on the boat. I don't think I've ever yelled with quite as much as excitement as I did that night! After that, I was spent, so I took a nap while mommy and daddy went on Splash Mountain with Mimi, Auntie Jess and Uncle Josh. They came back looking more wet than I've ever seen anyone outside of a shower - Crazy! We quickly made our way back to the hotel and called it a night.
On the tram for some Mommy/Daddy/Cohen time at Disneyland!
Just walked in the gates, and.........Cohen Out.
And still out - what's in the water?
Mommy and Daddy woke me up for "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride"On Thursday morning, my cousins weren't feeling so good, so they decided to stay in the hotel with Mimi and Papa for awhile. Mommy and daddy decided to take me to Disneyland alone, and while I was really tired at first, we had LOTS of fun. We went on Sleeping Beauty's Scary Adventure, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and then the REAL fun began. We came across Mickey Mouse's house in Toontown, so I got to see where he lives! I sat on Pluto's bed, saw Mickey's TV (mine is bigger), and then I got to watch a movie he was working on. The best part was a total surprise to me though - we walked around a corner, and THERE WAS MICKEY MOUSE! I almost couldn't beleive my eyes! I got to touch him and everything!
Mr. Toad
This ride is SCARY!
Mommy - this is where Pluto sleeps!
Are you kidding me?Meeting Mickey Mouse may be one of the coolest things that I have experienced yet. I got to have my picture taken with him and everything! Afterwards, mommy and daddy couldn't stop talking about how cool it was, but I decided it was naptime before our next big adventure.
Mickey Mouse - of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse fame - amongst other things...
Mickey is my bro...
Can you beleive it? Straight from meeting the mouse himself, to seeing MMC live! While I slept off my excitement, mommy and daddy hustled me over to California Adventure to catch the 12:30 showing of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Can you say "Greatest Day Ever"? They didn't end up sing the hot dog show, but I barely noticed - not since Woodstock have I been in such a surreal environment.
Dim the lights - lets go!
Hot Dog! It's Mickey Mouse!!!!!
Mickey - I love you!!!!
Whoa - that was SOOOOOO good! After the show, we met up with Auntie Laura and Will, and Auntie Jess and Josh to take in a couple more rides before heading back to the hotel for a spanish style "siesta". I spotted quite a few of my favortie characters just walking the streets, and then I went on the craziest ride ever - the Tower of Terror! Ok, so I didn't go on that - but I would've if they would have let me. I ain't scared!
Mickey! Mickey! I just saw you!
The girls can have the Castle - I'll live here
Me and Auntie Laura again
Goofy sure is...well....GoofyI spent a good amount of the afternoon taking a nice refreshing nap, and even got to take my first ever trip to a swimming pool. I'd talk more about it, but it was a pretty short stay, and I spent the next two days in a pool, so look forward to that tomorrow. That night, we went back to California Adventure and Disneyland. My favorite part was the light parade, and riding on King Triton's Under the Sea Carousel!
I'm not sure why this guy was green - he thinks he was in "Toy Story" though.
Getting my bottle on before another long night
I should probably get checked for diseases after this one
That's right - I can ride a sea horse all by myself!
So tiredOn Friday morning, the rest of the family packed up and headed to Fresno after saying goodbye to Auntie Laura (we'll see you in Hawaii), but mommy and daddy decided that it was a brilliant idea to head back to Disneyland on the 4th of July in 95 degree heat. I can't fault them though, cause I got some pretty sweet presents out of the deal, and it was nice to tell Mickey that I'll be back for him. After a short 2 hours, we hopped in the rental car, and started our journey through California's Central Valley.
Disneyland lived up to all of my expectations and surpassed it tenfold. I plan to go back many times, and you're all welcome to join me!
Mickey riding in my cupholder
Me and mommy on our last tram ride out of Disneyland - we'll be back!Well, that's all she wrote for tonight. Stay tuned though, tomorrow we'll have Part II, which includes my trip to Gabby's, which also just happens to be the hottest place on Earth.
Buh-Bye Now!
