May Day is a National Treasure

So, tomorrow is May Day, and I can't even begin to explain to you how excited about that I am. I mean, what's better than May Day? It's probably second only to Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's, My Birthday, Independance Day, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Halloween, Labor Day, Father's Day, President's Day, Valentine's Day, Boxing Day (for my Canadian readers), Veteran's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter, Yom Kippur, Cinco de Mayo, Groundhog Day, St. Patrick's Day, Earth Day, Arbor Day (is that the same as Earth day? I never know), Flag Day, April Fool's Day, Father's Day, Patriot's Day, the Vernal Equinox, Columbus Day, and the first day of Kwanzaa. Ok, so looking back, maybe it isn't as great as I first thought. Oh well.

So what's new with me you ask? Well, let me share! Last weekend, mommy and daddy took me to Seattle to have dinner at the Cheesecake Factory for Great Uncle Gregg's birthday. We got to walk around town a bit, although I was a bit cheesed that mommy and daddy wouldn't take me to Gameworks!

On Monday, I got to see my Great Grandma for the first time since right after Christmas. I really missed her cause she is pretty funny sometimes. The sad news is that it's been over a week since I've seen Grandma and Grandpa and Mimi and Papa, but I have lots of plans to see them! Tomorrow night I get to have dinner at Mimi and Papa's, and mommy and daddy are taking me to Couer D'Alene with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. A trip to the Couer D'Alene resort was mommy and Grandma's Valentine's day gift to daddy and grandpa, and the weather is finally good enough for them to golf. I have my clubs ready too!

Mommy and Daddy bought me a new carseat for daddy's car this week, and Grammy bought me one for my 6 month birthday. It's not quite the Power Wheel that I have had my eye on, but I'm pretty excited, especially cause daddy says that he is going to buy me a DVD player for the car when I turn 1 and can face forward in the car! Auntie Shanlee told me that I can come to her house and ride her Power Wheel, but I'm not sure that I can roll in a Pink Escalade. Better call Maaco.

Well, it's about bedtime for me. Daddy is working at 6am this week, and Mommy has had to be to work at the ungodly hour of 8am, which means that I have to get to bed abit earlier than normal! I've been so tired that I've even fallen asleep in my chair a few times! I'll make sure and write when I get back from Idaho. Let's hope for some good weather! Love you All!

Crabisaurus Rex

Well, it's almost the end of April, the weather is absolutely crazy, and I'm still ridiculously cute and awesome. I've been doing plenty to keep busy, including visiting all of my grandparents, spending some nice time outdoors, and honing my musical talents. Grandma and Grandpa got a new piano, and I threw down pretty much immediately. If none of my other talents work out, I already have a scholarship to the Berklee School of Music to fall back on. Look out Mozart!

My technique is impeccable.

In concert.

This last weekend was one of my favorites so far. On Friday, we drove thru the snow to go stay at Grammy's house for the night. I didn't take my camera, but I have plenty memories cause we had lots of fun. She has two very fuzzy kitties that look like they would be fun to ride!

Just trying to grow facial hair like daddy.

On Saturday, I got to go see Grandma and Grandpa, and there was a lot of snow at their house. Mommy and Daddy said I couldnt play in it cause I haven't been feeling good. I can't wait til I'm big enough to go outside!

I like my auntie Autumn.

Taking a nap with grandpa.

On Sunday, we had dinner at Mimi and Papa's. I got to help Papa put together his new barbeque, and that was fun, but mommy told me that I can't repeat some of the words that I heard. I just told her that daddy says them all the time too so not to worry about it!

My Ride.

I clearly enjoy it.

A couple times in the last week, mommy and daddy have taken me to the park to get our family exercise. Sometimes it gets kinda cold by the water, but I like seeing the birdies and all the people walking their puppy dogs. We saw one dog that's tummy was pretty much dragging on the ground, and an older British lady that cracked a joke to mommy and daddy and then left us in the dust!

This is where I walk.

If you come to Bellingham, you can go here with me!

I hate to brag, but I really have been growing up a lot lately. I turned 5 months old on Sunday, and the Doctor told me that I am 19 pounds, 8 ounces. I'm pretty sure that's like the best baby size ever, or something. Just today, I showed mommy and daddy how I can sit up all by myself. Now we get to sit on the floor and play. It's a lot of fun!

Sitting up!

Well, that's about all I have for now. Life is pretty good, although I do get a little cranky from time to time. In fact, just last night Mommy told me that if I was a dinosaur, I'd be a crabisaurus rex. She thinks that she is SOOOO funny. Ok, maybe she is. Mommy and daddy think that I get crabby at bedtime sometimes, but in reality it's just because they won't let me watch the late hockey or basketball games, and sometimes I even have to go to bed before the Mariner games are over! How rude!

Crabisaurus Rex!

Awwww!

I'm gonna hang up the old writing....keyboard for now. If I have my way, I'll have my playoff beard going strong in the next set of pictures (Hockey players wear playoff beards), but mommy is adamant that I need to be neat and clean shaven, so we'll see. Goodnight Moon. Goodnight Blog.

Airplane Rides and Baseball Games

It's Baseball Season!

At my first Baseball game

Well, it's been awhile since I've written, but I've had a busy week lately. As I mentioned before, I spent almost a week in sunny central California, which was great. I got to meet my great grandpa (who is doing much better) and more of my awesome family, see GABBY again, and take in some California sun. I've always heard that girls in California are second to none, but I didn't see it. Maybe it's a Southern California thing...we'll see in July I guess.

Me and P.J. on my first airplane ride.

(From Left): Emma, Me, and Eden (I think!)

I got to take my first airplane ride, but I can't say I really remember much of it. Mommy did a great job of keeping me cuddled. I still don't understand how it was so cold when I got on the plane, and so warm when I got off. Must've been some crazy weather change or something. I didn't mind though - I got to play outside a lot!

What should we have, Mimi?

Hmmm....I just had milk last night....

Yummy - I love Uncle Jerrod's shoulder!

I got back to Bellingham on a snowy Friday morning, and while I was sad to see everyone go, I was extra ready to be home. I hadn't seen Daddy in almost 5 days and it hurt my heart to miss him so much. Me and mommy also got sick while we were down there, so we definitely needed some time to recover, especially before going back to work and school on Monday. Speaking of Monday....

Opening Day!

Grammy got me some sweet M's gear...

I think I like this! Plus I got to sit by Auntie Shanlee!

Baseball games are exhausting - and cold!

....I got to go to my first baseball game! It was Opening Day for the 2008 season, there was optimism in the air, and the Mariner's definitely delivered! I think I'm hooked on this baseball stuff (that makes, let's see.....3, 4, 27 sports that I really like!) and I've been watching on my big tv every night. I'm still deciding who my favorite player is though. That Ichiro guy is pretty good, and I think I could say his name (even though daddy calls him Ichi Mays Hayes) but I'm gonna keep my options open. In related news, they put J.J. Putz on the disabled list cause he has the same thing mommy has when she was pregnant. They call it costochondritis, but grammy calls it costco-itis cause she had it once, and she thought it was cause the stuff at costco is too heavy!

Well, not a ton more going on around here. Our family is all feeling kind of under the weather but we are enjoying our time at home today. I think mommy and I are about to take a walk to the grocery store, so I should get going. I'll leave you with some more random pictures on the way out.

Enjoy!

Is the game over? I'm cold!

Peek-a-boo!

Hangin out with Grammy

I make "street" look good..

Hmmm....

What can I possibly say about this?

Buh-bye now!
