Oscar Night!

This last week has been one of up's and down's (the main down being that I can't seem to kick this cold that has lingered for almost 6 weeks now) but the biggest story is of my new found friend, Paul. Paul is a friendly blue puppy that keeps me company when I'm sleepy, when I go on car rides, and just about whenever else a boy needs some good companionship. Timmy had Lassie and I have Paul the Puppy.

Mimi and Papa are due back from their cruise tonight, but they have been gone for almost two weeks and I really miss them. I'm very excited to see them, and I sure hope they have a present for me. A stuffed animal or a power wheel would do great.

This weekend, daddy, mommy and I helped Grammy finish moving. Well, mommy and daddy didn't do much - I really was the workhorse of the group. Grammy rewarded us by taking us to Buca di Beppo and then to my first hockey game. I don't remember much about the restaurant cause I was sleepy but the hockey game was fun. I came away knowing that I really wanna play this game someday, and that Portland Sucks.

Today, mommy and I watched Uncle Tiger win the Match Play Championship Final while we cleaned the house, cause daddy skipped out on his chores and was out golfing for real. He promised me that when I get a little bigger that he will take me with him. I have my own clubs, ya know.

In other news - I'm a huge mommy's boy. This isn't really a new realization, nor is it a shock, but I figured I should let anyone that isn't aware of this know in case they want to pry me away from my mommy. It won't work. I promise.

I gotta get to bed cause Monday's are never especially fun and being tired makes it worse. I am excited to see my friend Reese though. She got a cupcake the other day, and I really admired her eating techniques. I can't have cupcakes yet, but I offered her some of my milk cause I thought it was gentlemanly. Until next time...

President's Day Weekend

I feel guilty. I have neglected this blog for nearly a week now. I guess it's not totally my fault cause I have been busy with mommy and daddy dragging me all over the place, but I hate to make excuses. Either way, it's time to climb back on to the proverbial horsey and get my blog on.

Valentine's Day was last week, and I must say that it's not the greatest holiday ever. I mean, I tell mommy I love her everyday, but society insists that if I didn't express my love monetarily that I'm not doing my job. That said, it was a nice little holiday. I spent it with mommy and daddy having a nice little evening at home. Daddy made breakfast for dinner and we watched lots of good Thursday programming. I also got to spend time in my jungle!

With a long 3 day weekend, we packed up the car on Friday morning before school so that we could go straight to Grandpa and Grandma's house after school. We had a fun night with Grandpa and Grandma, and I got to meet my Great Aunt Barbara. She was really nice, even if she was wearing an icky Cougar sweatshirt.

On Saturday, I hung out with mommy and Grandma while daddy and Grandpa hit the golf course. I was gonna go with them, but didn't want to embarass them. I'll save that for later.

Before too long, we piled into the car to continue our journey south. Grandpa made a comment about needing a bigger car which may seem like a simple comment, but that's a whole different story. Anyways, we trekked to Babies 'R' Us for some shopping and then headed downtown. We got to stay at the W Hotel which was my first night in a hotel, my first time being 18 stories high, and probably many other firsts.

Mommy put me into the freshly purchased and assembled Baby Bjorn so that we could walk around downtown Seattle. I was spoiled with a trip to the Cheesecake Factory, my first escalator ride at Pacific Place, and lots of other good touring. The Baby Bjorn (or the B-Jorn as daddy calls it) is GREAT. I am so comfortable in it that I take naps often.

On Sunday morning, we stopped at Grammy's to help her move some furniture to her new place and then got back in the car to head home. I thought that we were actually going to get home for once, but boy was I wrong. We stopped for lunch at Smokey Point, and then mommy and daddy decided that it would be fun just to go check out bigger cars. 7 hours later and....

Daddy has a new car! Well, they tell me that I have a new car, but in reality I know daddy is excited about it. I'm not gonna lie either - it's a sweet ride. I have a HUGE back seat, and I fully intend on talking daddy into putting a DVD player back there soon.

So, that's pretty much my long weekend. Oh, I also opened a Savings account the other day, so if you have any loose change around, keep me in mind. You can also make checks payable to: Cohen White. Don't feel obligated, but if you ever want to donate, you know, for things like a 3 month Birthday or something...

Saturday Plans

Doing what you say?

Well, umm, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

My comedic stylings have recently
been compared to those of Will Ferrell.

Maybe I'll start talking in nothing but movie quotes and see who picks up on it. In reality, I think we do have a pretty nice little Saturday all planned out. Mommy and I spent some time playing in my jungle and making breakfast, and I think after some chores, we're probably going to Costco. Yeah, buy some fruit snacks, maybe get some diapers - stuff like that. Maybe the mall, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

My morning exercises - some Sit-ups (left) and Push-ups (right)

Making breakfast for mommy
Lately I have watched a lot of movies with mommy and daddy, and I can't say that they always make the best choices. We went on a bit of a Godfather run recently, and while I don't know that it was age appropriate I did enjoy it and daddy told me that I'm going to be the Godfather for Halloween. It's up to me to choose between Vito and Michael Corleone - I'm thinking Vito cause Marlon Brando has a timeless look.
The Godfather was SCARY!

"Good Luck Chuck" may be the worst movie I have seen in my 2.5 months although another movie with penguins prominently involved is right up there with it. I LOVE Penguins, but this movie and Happy Feet are just not good. At all.

Boring movie...

Despite the fact that I sleep thru at least 75% of any programming I watch, I have to say that "Transformers" was absolutely dyn-o-mite! Optimus Prime is a cultural icon, and these Robots in Disguise are my new favorite heroes, right up there with "the Wiggles". Mommy already said we can't see the wiggles in concert but we'll see.
Well, I think I should grab a quick nap before the day's activities play out. Have a great weekend blog.

Sick Day

Cuddling with Mr. Bear - like the washcloth on my head?

Short entry tonight cause I'm not feeling very good. I woke up last night with a fever and it hasn't gotten better yet. Mommy took me to the doctor today, and they said I have a viral infection. I have no idea what that means, but it apparently is better than the bacterial infection that they took my blood for, so I guess that's at least SOME good news. I have to go back tomorrow morning for another check-up but in the meantime mommy is doing everything she can to make me feel better.

Not feeling Well

I haven't gotten much sleep the last few days, but I did catch a few ZZzzz's this afternoon. I must have woken up with a huge smile, cause mommy told me all about the dream I had. Apparently daddy took me to the park to play catch, and then we got ice cream. I can't wait to grow up! Right after I woke up, daddy got home from work and that made me happy cause I got to play with him and mommy, but that feel better period only lasted a short time. Being sick is laaaaame.

Watching the Super Bowl

Not much to say about the Super Bowl. I feel really bad for Uncle Tom and the Patriots, but it was a great game. Daddy kept telling me how special it was, and I'm sure that one day I'll understand.

Anyways, enjoy the pictures.
